Application Process
There are two opportunities to apply for and secure a place at Matravers School. Either during the usual round as part of the transition from Year 6 at Primary School to secondary school, or through a mid-year application from an existing secondary school.
Year 6 Primary Transition Process
Pupils will be admitted at age 11 without reference to ability or aptitude provided applications are received by the deadline of 31st October. The number of allowed admissions will be 180.
Due to significant rising trends we strongly recommend that parents must place Matravers as their "First Preference" and apply on time if they are to secure a place.
Matravers, a Foundation School, provides high-quality, traditional and bespoke education for children from a vast range of geographical locations. We admit children from Westbury and the surrounding villages alongside children from Warminster, Trowbridge and Bath areas and beyond.

Mid-Year Admission from an existing secondary school
Many families wish for their child to transfer into the Matravers family, either from out of county or from other local schools. Families are very often looking for the calm, focused and thriving learning environment that we offer.
It is best to contact the Headteacher's P.A to arrange a tour of the school to find out more about how the Matravers family works. The Headteacher's P.A. can be contacted on headspa@matravers.wilts.sch.uk
