Year 7 Catch up
Literacy and Numeracy Catch-up Premium
What is Catch-up Funding?
The Literacy and Numeracy catch-up premium is additional funding provided by the government to schools for each Year 7 pupil who did not achieve the expected standard in reading or maths at the end of Key Stage 2 (KS2).
The expected standard identified is a scaled score of 99 or lower in KS2 SATs. The purpose of this funding is to enable schools to deliver additional support, such as individual tuition or intensive small group support, for those pupils who most need it.
